“Welcome to Carfax College. One of the things that I think makes Carfax so special is the emphasis on personalised learning and treating each pupil as an individual. Here each pupil receives individual attention, support and encouragement, not only in pursuit of academic goals but also in terms of their personal well-being. We have a warm and welcoming community here at Carfax College and our pupils find this helps them to be themselves and focus on achieving their goals.”

OUR CREDIBILITY

Carfax College Accreditation

OFSTED inspection

Our recent OFSTED welfare report praised the college’s focus on emotional wellbeing and the positive relationships between staff and pupils, concluding that pupils ‘feel confident in the support and are able to focus on their studies’. The college is small, and this creates a familial community which provides pupils with many sources of support.

"The welfare, well-being and safety of all pupils  are an extremely high priority for the school. Pupils are safe in all areas of the school and feel comfortable talking to staff about any concerns they have."

Principal’s welcome
Iwan Lloyd
Carfax College Principal
At Carfax, we firmly believe that education involves acquiring knowledge and nurturing students' minds, health, and spirits, with a focus on four core pillars:
Academic Excellence
Enrichment Programs
Character Development
Emotional and Social Well-being

Student Support & Pastoral Care

Carfax College is extremely attentive to its pupils’ wellbeing and the college works hard to ensure that every pupil is happy. Pupils meet with a personal tutor a minimum of once a week, and this time is used for checking in on both academic and personal matters. We encourage our pupils to raise any concerns they might have, and we address any issues promptly and sensitively.

‘Pastoral support for pupils is outstanding and is a particular strength of the school. Pupils receive very high levels of support from tutors on personal issues.’
